Heardle game is designed for those music lovers who think that they can guess the song only by a small fragment. Its principle is based on the word puzzle called Wordle, but now you have to guess not a word, but a song. The player is given the opportunity to listen to a three-second fragment and understand what song is presented in it. Not only studio versions of the artists are used here, but also concert recordings, which makes guessing more difficult. At the same time, there is a possibility to find a song by searching from the library presented inside the game. Accordingly, you don’t have to worry that you won’t get the right answer because of a typo in the title.

There are several categories available to the player, divided by genre, musical era and individual artist. You can also play a general compilation, where all available songs will be presented. By selecting the appropriate category, you will start a fragment. It lasts exactly 3 seconds and can refer to the beginning, middle or end of the song. You can listen to the fragment an infinite number of times.

If you are not sure of the correct answer or have answered incorrectly, add one more second to the existing song. Along with this, the player loses one attempt. A total of six attempts are given in order to arrive at the correct answer. With each new miss, the player is given more additional listening time. Thus, by the sixth attempt he will be able to listen to 30 seconds of the song. At the same time, he will get the minimum number of points for the correct answer, but he will be able to successfully finish the round.
